Gore´s New Book about „Our Choice“ on Climate Change
The third book „Our Choice“ from the former Vice President Al Gore gives us a whole heap of information on the climate change situation at the moment and what we can do about it. In his book Gore delivers loads of information on the climate change and stunning facts about a future which we have in our hands. The experts questioned by Gore all agree that there is still hope and reason to be optimistic. The crisis can be stopped by switching to renewable energy sources now.
In his book Gore also talks about the small changes that seem to be getting alot of attention. The fact that the cfc light-bulb is in sale and everyone is buying them won´t lead to the good future we are hoping for. The small changes aren´t really the ones that make a difference Gore explains. To change the future of the Earth and reduce climate change we have to act now and start using renewable energy sources and using the energy we have efficiently.
To achieve the climate goals we have set for ourselves as a human race all countries have to pull together. China for example is still using coal power stations but are modernising step for step. They are now working on an ambitous plan to dominate the photovoltaic market and India is receiving large funds from wealthy industrial countries to build renewable energy systems.
Al Gore doesn´t just report about the positive results but explains that due to reports and statistics more and more people are starting to think global is not produced due to humans. This devastating development is reflected in many other statistics such as that which shows that 80% of the CEOs and CFOs said that they wouldn´t invest in making their company more energy efficient if it would reduce the financial result of their company at the end of the year.
All in all we can be excited to read a book about good facts on renewable energies and climate change but also on changes made in the society and around the globe leading to negative and positive effects for our future.
