The new solar energy system is going to revolutionize the industry

Yahoo! My Web Solar energy technology is a large part of the trend taking place toward renewable energies, but due to the fact that the renewable energy technology is so young, scientists havenīt come close to developing a system that makes the most of the sun.

Dow Chemical has now developed a solar energy system that allows the consumers to user the whole surface of the roof instead of just a fraction. The effective solar shingles are planned to be available next year and are expected to experience a very high demand by 2011.

The chairman of Dow Chemicals Andrew Liveris said, "These types of innovative products not only showcase our deep scientific and technical expertise but also demonstrate how our commitment to R&D is fueling Dow's future growth agenda around the world."

The solar energy tiles are equipped with the modern thin film technology which have become more and more common in the solar industry. The thin film technology may allow companies in the future to combine the thin film technology with a large variety of objects by simply wrapping or printing the thin film onto them.
