DuPont Renewable Energy Scenarios At World Future Energy Summit 2009

Yahoo! My Web DuPont will talk about its new product offerings at the World Future Energy Summit 2009 held in the United Arab Emirates. DuPont is expected to expand on its efforts to create new and innovative materials that will play a role in renewable energy technologies. The company has made major strides in the industries of solar and wind energy systems.

DuPont has stated that the market for photovoltaic solar panels has increased by over 50 percent. A spokesperson for the company said DuPont is stepping up its efforts and timelines to have new materials introduced. The company is also working fervently on fuel cell technologies. The products that DuPont makes are of the utmost importance to the fastest growing segments of the renewable energy market. The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2009 is “the” place to find out about all the latest developments.

The company’s Photovoltaic Solutions group is crucial to the creation of thin film solar cells and crystalline silicon. Their products include encapsulation sheets, resins, films, conductive pastes, and high performance seals. Encapsulation sheets provide long term laminating protection. Fluoropolymer film offers strength and durability to prevent sheets from cracking while at the same time allowing almost 100 percent transparency. Resins are used to cushion solar cells from any harsh impacts and they also enable the sunlight to reach the cells. Conductive pastes assist in the efficiency of the solar cells. Fluoride films made of polyvinyl provide weather-resistance and long-lasting protection against UV rays.

As far as wind turbines go, DuPont has some ideas it will be presenting in that arena. The company has products it will offer to consumers as solutions for component reliability. They also have ideas on how to reduce the weight of the turbines, and will offer options how to make installation and maintenance less costly. These innovative methods and technologies are designed to help make renewable energy solutions easier to implement.
