Renewable Energy Company - ENER.G Group

Yahoo! My Web ENER·G UK's Renewable Energy Company differs from other landfill gas to energy companies is its focus. Whilst everyone likes to think big, ENER·G also thinks small.

ENER·G has developed a system of portable, modular units with outputs ranging from as little as 300kW to 1.15MW, with the larger generators having integral transformers.

Traditionally ENER·G supplied generators up to 1.15MW to landfill sites. However ENER·G identified a potential niche in the landfill gas power generation market at the sub 500kW level.

1mw_techPreviously power generation at this level has not been economic but the advent of the Renewable Obligation and the Scottish Renewable Obligation is changing this. In response to this change in the market we have developed of a 300kW landfill gas fuelled generator, which is capable of operating at 200m3/h at 50% methane. We have several units operating on their own, with several together or in conjunction with larger existing generators (1MW) to follow more closely the landfill gas production curve and maximise gas utilisation.
